Karin has a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Lund University with focus on liposomes and liquid crystalline structures and methods such as light scattering and NMR. Karin is also leading our internal project OncoPulse which is a new NMR method that applied to MR scanners is used on patients for more specific cellular information.

Tobias Halthur

Tobias has a PhD in Surface Chemistry/Physical Chemistry from the Institutes of Surface Chemistry at the Royal Institute of Technology. He is a specialist in surface adsorption, surface modification and analysis of surfaces. Large interest has been of adsorption measurements of proteins, surfactants and polymers which are done using ellipsometry, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and QCM (Quartz Crystal Microbalance).

Samo Lasic

Samo has a PhD in Physics from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, and is an expert on diffusion NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resoncance). He has extensive experience in designing and implementing novel spectroscopic and imaging (MRI) techniques used to study the morphology of porous materials and tissue as well as the physiology of cells. Computer modelling and computations are regular tasks which Samo adds to the team.

Dan Lundberg

Dan has a PhD in Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg. The scope of his doctoral work was to synthesize and from different aspects characterize a class of cleavable surfactants. After he received his degree, Dan has worked at Emory University, Atlanta, USA, the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and Lund University, taking part in a range of projects involving amphiphiles and biological macromolecules. Techniques used in Dan’s work include NMR, different scattering methods, as well as optical and electron microscopy. Dan also has experience of biotechnological procedures.

Stefan Ulvenlund

Stefan has a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Lund University, a post-doc from Imperial College, London and extensive experience in the field of Physical Chemistry. Prior to joining CR Competence, Stefan worked with formulation and product development AstraZeneca for 13 years, primarily in the fields of liquid inhalation and poorly soluble compounds for oral delivery. During the years at AZ, Stefan held an associate professorship at Lund University and supervised a number of PhD students and postdocs. He has retained this associate professorship through CR Competence.

Ingemo Andersson

Ingemo is an analytical chemist with 10 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry prior to her joining CR Competence. At Astra Zeneca Ingemo worked with solid state characterization using methods as XRPD (X-ray), DSC (Calorimetry) and sorption technology. At CR Competence she is also applying laser diffraction, light scattering and GC-MS in different projects.
