
Colloidal Resource (CR) organization is to create and manage innovative businesses based on scientific research, particularly originated in chemistry. CR operates from Chemical Center in Lund, Sweden, Northern Europe’s largest center for the chemical sciences. Here we are in close contact with leading researchers, and through subsidiary CR Competence also a close dialogue with companies which gives us knowledge about the real needs of other businesses and social institutions today.
CR Competence is a consulting company that builds on the research front, and genuine understanding of science when addressing our clients’ issues. In order to solve problems and find answers, we use the equipment at both the Chemistry Center, MAX-lab and other institutions.
CR Development is a development company that commercializes the results of Associate Professor Daniel Topgaards research. The company develops and commercializes the project OncoPulse which has won several awards: Innovation Award (2008), SKAPA in Memory of Alfred Nobel (2009) and Venture Cup Syd (2008). OncoPulse is a technology for MRI cameras that offers an alternative to mammography and biopsy in the diagnosis of breast cancer. OncoPulse can also be used for in vitro analysis of cells.
Today, in addition to CR Competence and CR Development CR also holds a minor share in Bioactive Polymers in Lund. Bioactive Polymers in Lund is a development company that has its origin in an interdisciplinary collaboration between surgeons and chemists. The aim is to develop a working product to reduce the postoperative problem of abdominal adhesions that currently affects over 90% of those who undergo surgery and is the underlying cause behind much of women’s involuntary childlessness.
